Dental Exams & Cleanings

Routine dental exams and cleans are important in maintaining good oral health. There are different types of dental cleanings that depend on each individual’s gum health. It is important to stay on track and create good habits to keep great oral health throughout your life.

Dental Sealants

Dental sealants are a procedure done to prevent tooth decay. Teeth have pits and grooves on the biting surfaces. Sealant material is placed in these pits and grooves in order to seal them and help prevent from tooth decay. Sealants can be beneficial for both children and adults.

Dental Fillings

Dental fillings are direct restorations that are used in order to remove tooth decay and prevent it from spreading. If decay spreads into the nerve of the tooth it can cause severe dental pain and ultimately cause the tooth to die and possibly abscess. Detecting these areas early on routine examinations will allow teeth to be treated with minimally invasive dental fillings.

Our team works diligently to see you the same day a dental emergency may arise. When you are having a lot of pain with a tooth, let us know! We will do our best to get you into our office on the same day that you call us.

Dental Extractions

A tooth extraction simply means the removal of a tooth. There are many reasons a tooth or teeth may need to be removed. Some of these reasons include: infection, severe decay, a cracked tooth or to create additional space for orthodontic reasons.

Pediatric Dentistry

Dentistry for kids is important for their oral health. Even though baby teeth are eventually going to be lost, it is important to keep these teeth healthy until they are lost naturally. Losing teeth early can cause problems later in life that may include spacing issues for permanent teeth or jaw development issues. It is important to establish a dentist to encourage and teach kids about good oral hygiene at a young age.

Dental Crown

Dental Crowns are common restorations used in dentistry. When a tooth has been heavily restored or has a large cavity a dental crown will likely be indicated. This is a cap that fully covers the tooth in order to preserve and protect the remaining tooth structure. At times dental crowns may be used to improve the esthetics of teeth. Crowns can be used to adjust shape, color, alignment and overall appearance of teeth.

Dental Bridge

Dental Bridges are common restorations used in dentistry when one or more teeth are missing. These restorations are permanently cemented or bonded onto teeth adjacent to the spaces where teeth are missing. These are a great restorative option that allows patients with missing teeth to restore and maximize chewing efficiency.

Root Canal Therapy

Root canal therapy is indicated when a tooth has become infected or irreversibly inflamed. This can cause severe pain and if left untreated may cause a systemic infection. Root canal therapy is designed to eliminate bacteria from the infected root canal, prevent reinfection of the tooth and save the natural tooth. When root canal therapy is preformed, the inflamed or infected pulp is removed, the inside of the tooth is carefully cleaned and disinfected and then the canal space is filled and sealed. Root canal therapy is a great option to help preserve natural teeth and to get out of pain.

Dental Implants and Restorations

Dental implants have revolutionized the way teeth are replaced in dentistry. Single implants may be used as a single tooth replacement, while multiple implants may be used to replace multiple teeth. In both cases a small implant is placed into the bone, which acts as the root. After adequate healing time is permitted, the final restoration is placed and there is a new tooth or teeth that can function normally.

Dentures

Dentures are used to replace missing teeth. Partial dentures may be used in situations where some teeth are lost and need to be replaced. Complete dentures are used when all the teeth are lost and need to be replaced. Implant technology can also be used with dentures to add additional stability.

Implant Retained Dentures/Fixed Dentures/Hybride Dentures

There are many different options when considering a denture as a treatment option. With new implant technology we are able to provide more support and stability in dentures, which improves comfort and function.
